How to Use a Pump Mister for Personal Cooling
A CoreGear pump mister is a simple, battery-free way to keep cool water within reach. All three models - Classic, Ultra Cool XL, and Ultra Cool XLS - use the same 1.5-liter manual pump system, so the fill, pump, and spray steps below apply no matter which one you own. This guide covers how to fill it correctly, adjust the nozzle, care for it, and use it safely.
Before using your CoreGear mister for the first time:
Unscrew and remove the pump handle from the bottle. Turn it upside down and confirm the O-ring is present and seated securely inside the neck of the pump handle.
Make sure the thick white tube and stainless-steel pump assembly are properly threaded and tightened.
Make sure the colored nozzle assembly is tightened securely to the pump handle.
These quick checks help ensure the mister is assembled correctly before filling and pressurizing it.
Fill the bottle only to the marked fill line. Do not overfill. The remaining air space is needed for pressurization.
Add cold water and ice if desired through the wide-mouth opening.
Screw the pump handle onto the bottle evenly and securely. On Classic and XL models, make sure the carrying strap is not caught in the bottle threads.
Lift and lower the rounded pump rod up to about 10 times, stopping sooner if you feel resistance. Do not overpump. The mister does not have a pressure-relief valve. Contents are under pressure. This is not a toy. Adult supervision is recommended.
Turn the brass nozzle all the way to the left for a mist. Turn it about 1/4 turn to the right for a stronger spray. Do not loosen the brass tip too far; it can separate from the nozzle and be lost.
Press the trigger at the top of the pump handle for continuous mist or spray.
As the pressure drops, the mist or spray will weaken.
Re-pressurize the bottle by lifting and lowering the pump rod a few times. Stop when you feel resistance. Do not overpump.
Because the mister does not have a pressure-relief valve, use only enough pumping to restore normal spray performance.
The wide-mouth opening on all three CoreGear models is designed to make it easy to add both water and ice. Cold water and ice may be used for cooling.
Keep in mind these misters are built for misting and spraying water - they are not designed to be used as drinking bottles.
Hard-water minerals can gradually clog the very small opening in the nozzle. If your mister begins producing a steady stream instead of a fine mist, mineral buildup is often the cause.
Remove the nozzle and soak it in distilled white vinegar for about 15 minutes. Gently tap it to help loosen deposits, rinse it with clean water, and reinstall it securely.
To help your mister last, avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat. Do not leave it in a hot vehicle, place it near a direct heat source, or put the bottle or components in a dishwasher.
CoreGear misters are pressurized products and do not have a pressure-relief valve. Do not overpump.

Why does the bottle say 1.5 liters if the fill line is about 1.2 liters?
The bottle’s total capacity is 1.5 liters, but the marked operating fill line is approximately 40 fl oz / 1.2 liters. The remaining air space is necessary for the hand pump to pressurize the bottle properly.
What spare parts are included?
Every CoreGear mister includes one spare complete nozzle and one spare brass nozzle tip. These are included because small nozzle parts can occasionally be lost or damaged during normal use.
All three CoreGear models use the same fill, pump and nozzle system described above. The differences are primarily the sleeve and carrying configuration.
